On September 03, 2021, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) announced the launch of a public consultation on the new batch of four SVHC reviewed substances. The consultation will last until October 18, 2021. During this period, companies can submit comments on the ECHA website, and the approved substances will be included in the SVHC candidate list as the new batch. Earlier, the European Commission (EU) submitted to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) communication G/TBT/N/EU/803 on a proposal to include resorcinol in the list of SVHC, and the public consultation is now closed. If resorcinol and the following four reviewed substances are adopted, the SVHC will reach 224.
