Eu RAPEX Non-Food Commodities Bulletin – March and April 2021

In March and April 2021, RAPEX initiated 402 notifications, of which 172 were from China, accounting for 42.8%. Product notification types mainly involve toys, jewelry, electrical equipment, protective equipment, clothing, textiles and timely clothing categories, kitchen cooking/accessories, children's products and children's equipment, sports equipment, etc. From the case of exceeding the standard, children's toys, ornaments, electronic equipment and other products such as lead, cadmium, SCCPs, benzene, nickel release and small parts are high-risk items. Anbotek hereby reminds the majority of enterprises that their products exported to Europe must actively meet the requirements of mandatory regulations, such as REACH, RoHS, EN71, POPs, etc., otherwise they will face the risks of product destruction, withdrawal from the market or recall.
