Recently, IECEE (International Electrotechnical Commission) released the IEC62133-2:2017 /AMD1:2021, which is the iec62133-2:2017 standard upgrade version.
1.In 7.1.2, the shelving time of constant temperature charging of the cell is revised from 1h and 4h to 1h to 4h, and the charging method is revised from constant voltage to constant current charging and then constant voltage charging.
2.The description of the upper limit of charging temperature in the original standard has been deleted in the updated standard for the battery extrusion test in Section 7.3.5.

3.Section 7.3.6 overcharge test adds the description of test requirements. If the battery has a charge protection circuit, it should be able to protect the cell from fire or explosion.

4.Section 7.3.9 Mandatory internal short circuit Test modifies the description of test temperature in Table 5 to be treated according to the manufacturer's declared lower/upper limit of charging temperature.
